NASA’s Eyes Museum Kiosk - New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science

Albuquerque, NM

The New Mexico Museum of Natural History and Science produced a hands-on kiosk that allows museum visitors to interact with all that the NASA’s Eyes program offers.

  1. Excite participants using astronomy-based content and encourage active independent learning.

  2. Encourage multi-generational learning and a safe space for underrepresented audiences to engage in astronomy.

The target audience for this program included all age groups and backgrounds.

Recommendations for future implementations

The installation of this program requires minimal signage. The software has been restricted to prevent anyone from breaking out of the program and into the computer’s operating system. Even if the published instructions are followed, you’ll still need to contact support for a software key to access the Eyes data. In the future it is recommend to look for ways to monitor this.
